Cost and coverage
The Zepbound savings card, and what it actually pays
There is no single Zepbound coupon. There are two offers with very different numbers, and a hard exclusion that rules out a large share of the people searching for one.
There are two cards, not one
Which one applies to you turns entirely on whether your commercial plan lists Zepbound as a covered drug.
| Your situation | What the card brings it to |
|---|---|
| Commercial insurance, Zepbound covered | around $25 per 1-, 2- or 3-month fill |
| Commercial insurance, Zepbound not covered | around $499 for a 1-month fill of the single-dose pen |
| Medicare, Medicaid or any government programme | not eligible at all |
For the covered version, the assistance is capped: roughly $100 a month and $1,300 per calendar year, across up to 13 fills.
The exclusion that catches most people
The other requirements are ordinary: 18 or over, resident of the US or Puerto Rico, commercial insurance.
The clause worth reading before you plan around it
Lilly states that eligibility and the terms of the card may be terminated, rescinded, revoked or amended at any time, without notice, for any reason. The current card carries an expiry of 31 December 2026.
That is standard language across the industry, and it means a savings card is not something to build a year of budgeting on. It is a discount that exists until it does not.
What it does not stack with
You cannot use a manufacturer savings card and a third-party discount like GoodRx on the same fill. One or the other. When the card applies, it is almost always the better of the two — the numbers are here.
If you are not eligible
Most people searching for a coupon fall into this group, and the useful answer is not a coupon at all.
- Lilly's self-pay channel sells Zepbound vials directly, outside insurance entirely.
- Telehealth pricing bundles a membership with the drug. Hims listed the Zepbound vial from $299 a month on 23 September 2026, with a required $149 monthly membership on top.
- Check for a sleep apnea diagnosis. Zepbound is approved for obstructive sleep apnea in adults with obesity, and some plans that exclude weight-loss drugs will cover a diagnosed sleep disorder. More here.
Before you rely on any figure here
Prices and card terms in this category change every few months, and Lilly can change them without notice. Everything above is dated 24 September 2026. Check Lilly's own savings page before making a decision on it — including against what we have written.
