The market
Calibrate has stopped selling to individuals
If you came here to join Calibrate, you cannot — not as an individual. The company finished moving to an employer-only model in February 2026. Here is what is left.
What happened
On 19 February 2026, Calibrate announced the "completion of its transition from a direct-to-consumer model to an enterprise-focused solution serving employers, health plans, and channel partners."
It did not shut down. It changed who it sells to. The company said the move "will result in profitability for the first time in the company's history," and that it now serves clients "ranging in size from several thousand to several hundred thousand covered lives."
More than 100,000 people went through the consumer program before that.
So can you still get it?
Through an employer or a health plan, yes. On your own, no.
If your company offers it, that is the cheapest version of this entire category — employer-sponsored means someone else is paying for the medicine and the coaching. Worth one message to whoever handles your benefits before you pay for anything privately.
Why a company with 100,000 members would leave consumers
Because the economics of consumer GLP-1 care are hard, and 2026 made them harder. When the semaglutide shortage ended, the cheap compounded version stopped being available as the margin engine, and what remained was reselling a branded drug at thin margins with a support team attached.
Employers pay differently: per covered life, in advance, with contracts. It is a less exciting business and a more solvent one.
Worth knowing if you are choosing a consumer program today. The pressure that moved Calibrate is on all of them.

What to ask whoever you pick next
- What is the membership, separate from the medicine? Two numbers.
- Branded or compounded?
- Does the advertised price require a prepayment?
- Who answers in week five, when the nausea starts?
Where we fit
MED Miami is building online weight care with compounded semaglutide, in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. It is not open yet — so today this page is a map of what exists, not a pitch for us.
